This series of shots were taken at Straiton Pond, nr Edinburgh. This friendly swan came the length of the pond to get their photo taken whilst their partner was sleeping on the nest in the reed beds at the other end.
I'm a Royal Navy Veteran from Scotland and love to get out and about with my wife, susantbraithwaite.com, on our Kalkhoff e-bikes. My faithful camera, Snappy, and the ever-present Lensy (lensball) are always along for the ride to capture the beauty of Scotland 🏴. Join me as I share photos from our travels, how Lensy views the world & pretty much anything shiny ✨

Strange, I wrote a comment earlier today but it doesn’t show up. Could it have ended up in spam?
Hi, Anita; tracked it down through spam 👍
Glad you found them 😁
I guess there was a polite exchange of “where’s my snacks?”
Brilliant photos of the beauty! It looks very stately that the long neck is reflected so nicely in the water 😀
Thank you very much, Anita 😊
Nice opportunity for a photo… usually the moment I get my camera or phone out, ducks and geese swim the other way. I’ve got lots of pics of the southern end of northbound waterfowl. >grin<
Me too 😂 It was there choice to get close to me this time 😃
Lovely spots and shots
Thanks, Sheree 😊
