This series of shots were taken at Straiton Pond, nr Edinburgh. This friendly swan came the length of the pond to get their photo taken whilst their partner was sleeping on the nest in the reed beds at the other end.

Nice opportunity for a photo… usually the moment I get my camera or phone out, ducks and geese swim the other way. I’ve got lots of pics of the southern end of northbound waterfowl. >grin<
