Hi All 👋 My entry for this week’s challenge, set by Brian of Bushboys World: Fragments.

On our last few visits to the coast, we’ve seen lots of fragments, small & large. Starting off with driftwood; washed up fragments of trees & even finished wood.

A closer look at the beach finds fragments of shells & other sea-life.

Shots of fragments of an object need to be viewed together to form a whole…

…a lobster pot.

Fragments of old coastal defences remind us of darker times when the world was at war.

A boat buried in the sand; the fragments we see shows us the whole picture.

…and finally, Fragments by Manic Street Preachers.

    Nicely done Jez – it seems we were on the same page this week. We very rarely get driftwood on our beach, probably because we are a barrier island, so I especially enjoyed yours. Also the images and thoughts about thing left behind from times of war – again not something we have here but you are so right, we are fortunate to live in time of peace. Terrific post.
