Snowy Solitude — Lens-Artists Challenge #277

·

,

Hi All 👋 My entry for this week’s challenge, set by Patti: Empty Spaces.

I thought I’d go with a seasonal theme for Patti’s challenge; snowy landscapes seem like an excellent response for “empty spaces”. We’ve had no snow as yet, but with temperatures not getting above 0?, winter is undoubtedly here

These first shots were all taken during a snowstorm near Boddam in the north-east of Scotland.

These next shots were taken in Palacerigg Country Park & Cumbernauld House Park, about 15 miles outside of Glasgow.

Lensy likes to get out in the snow as well, but not for too long

It’s funny to see such lovely snowy photos so close to Glasgow, and we don’t get that much of it. Today was a surprise, I have to say 🙂
Great photos, Jez and they are perfect for this challenge.

Your images are a perfect choice, Jez. I love Lensy….as always…and the park images. Beautiful empty spaces. 🙂

Wonderful series. Snow has to be one of my favourite subjects and that’s partly as we don’t get any here in Melbourne (Aust.). That last image is very creative and beautifully composed.

Excellent. Nothing emptier than desolate snow scenes, IMO.

Glorious images this week Jez – altho you can have the snow, I prefer just seeing the images of it! Lensy looks great in the last image and ALL of the images in the park outside of Glasgow are marvelous.

The fresh snow is an ideal topic for empty spaces. Everything feels fresh like a blank canvas. I love the water against the snowy bank, and the benches are certainly contemplative. And it is always nice when Lensy comes out to play.
