Romantic Rooftop Rendezvous — Spies, Lies & Digital Skies

Hi all 👋 My latest post for Susan’s Digital Art Challenge: Romantic Rooftop Rendezvous.

I used these shots I’d taken over Glasgow from the Lighthouse as my baseline images.

I then set up the prompt to imagine a couple having a romantic rendezvous on a rooftop balcony overlooking the city.

A great start, but I accidentally outputted it as square format, not wide. So back to the prompt.

Another great result — I love the moon framed within the pagoda, but I wanted the balcony to be higher, looking down on the rooftops & the couple to be more of the focus of the picture. I felt a bit of extra colour was needed, hence the addition of the bouquets of red & white roses.

Next up I’m going for a blend of futuristic & steampunk.

A dystopian setting next. The AI removed the woman from the picture unbidden; I like to think the guy is setting up the table for the rendezvous & not that he ends up dining alone 🥺

Trying a bit of selective colour next with just the balcony scene, flowers & lamps in colour, the rest monochromatic.

This leads to the final one, a romantic scene on a rooftop balcony overlooking a futuristic city.
