Dystopian and Cyberpunk Kiss: A Creative Journey — SLDS

·

Hi All 👋 My latest post for Susan’s Digital Art Challenge: A Dangerous Liaison in a Warzone.

I had a clear direction for this challenge: a kiss in a wartorn city. I used a baseline picture of a street in Glasgow for this.

Glasgow Street

I’ve got three favourites from this mammoth session on ChatGPT.

I say a mammoth session because that is what it turned into; 2 to 3 hours of prompt re-writes to get the scene as I wanted it.

The obvious start was a post-apocalyptic Glasgow setting with a couple sharing a kiss. The first run was okay but didn’t really convey the destruction of a wartorn city; several amendments to the prompt got the desired effect (see carousel). You can see the progression of the rewrites in the generated pictures.

I could have left it there, but no, of course not, why would I…

I decided to try a dystopian setting next. This had the same issue as above; I needed several rewrites to get the image I was after.

You should all know by now that I like playing with Steampunk & Cyberpunk, particularly doing a fusion of the two. As above, there is a progression as I get the feeling I want for the pictures.

Okay, we’re still going; stand by for a trip into a fantasy world that goes dark. I wondered what would happen if I changed to a fantasy-style setting. As DALL-E does sometimes, when I started the new prompt, it removed all the warzone parameters & gave me a fantasy-style version of Glasgow.

Very cute, I know, but doesn’t really fulfil the requirements of the challenge, so let’s add in warzone destruction!!!

Hang in there; nearly done?? I added a touch of a futuristic cityscape as a backdrop…

…and finally? I had to do my favourite Baroque style re-imagining.

The featured image was generated by the Jetpack AI Assistant based on my post, & some instructions from me; pretty cool

These are amazing, sweetie! I love all the transformations through time–the fantasy style is so, so cute! Your featured image is perfect for the prompt.

I thought it was a deliberate slip because of the length of the post
