Fan Of… #14 — Kibble Palace

Hi All 👋 and welcome to todays Fan Of… — Kibble Palace. For me Botanic Gardens are a treasure trove of photographic opportunities. Kibble Palace is set within the grounds of the Glasgow Botanic Gardens. I did a couple of posts back in the beginning of June. The first post covered the entrance area, North and South wings; the second covered the main hall, and the National Tree Fern Collection.

Kibble Palace is one of the two large glasshouses set within the Glasgow Botanic Gardens, and is an iron framed, glazed structure, fully erected at its current location in 1873. Used initially as an exhibition and concert venue, it started being used for growing plants from the 1880s. The glasshouse is used for the cultivation of Temperate plants, particularly tree ferns, some of which have been growing for 120 years and which now form the national tree fern collection.

Here are a few pics from the Palace; for more follow the links above

Have a great day

I also love botanical gardens. They are so meticulously cared for and always have interesting flowers, trails and water features.
