Hi All 👋 and as promised yesterday, today’s Fan Of… The Burrell Collection.

The Burrell Collection is a collection of Medieval Art, Islamic Art, medieval weaponry and armour, as well as stained glass and tapestries. There are artefacts from around the world including ancient Egypt and China. There are over 8000 individual objects in the collection, all collected by Sir William Burrell (see first picture), with artwork that spans five centuries.

If you missed yesterdays Fan Of… post; the Burrell Collection sits in a purpose built building in Pollock Country Park, in Pollock, Glasgow.
