This week’s Fan Of… is flowering cacti.
These two cacti featured last year (Fan Of… #45). They had lots of flowers on them when my wife bought them for me; the blooms lasted a long time, but as with all flowers eventually wilted & died. For a long time nothing much happened, although a couple of flowers did materialise on the pinky-orange one in Aug. Through all this time, new leafs continued to sprout & finally, almost a year after they were in bloom, pretty much over night, they went crazy with flowers.

I’m jealous of your Christmas cactus, as we call them. Gorgeous! Mine is growing more but has never bloomed.

They are beautiful. I’ve seen plenty of pink ones, but not that orangey shade before. I hope you are feeling loads better.
