Hi All 👋 My entry for this week’s challenge, set by Ratvi: Common Objects.
I’m starting this week with frozen raindrops on a washing line.

Hi All 👋 My entry for this week’s challenge, set by Anne: Shorelines.
Like Anne, I find peace & relaxation where water meets the land… fortunately, shorelines are never more than a stone’s throw away in Scotland. Be warned, mammoth post ahead
We have ponds, lochans (wee lochs), lochs (surrounded by land) & sea lochs (lochs that extend inland from the sea & are tidal).
We have canals…
(more…)Hi All 👋 My entry for this week’s challenge, set by Egidio: Music to my eyes.
Now, this was a real tester; I didn’t think I would have anything to contribute to Egidio’s prompt.
I don’t really associate music with my pictures apart from one particular song that has stuck with me all my life. I first heard the song “Forever Autumn” by Justin Hayward as a young child & whenever I see autumnal scenes, the song plays in my mind.
To that end, I’ve concentrated on the one song & imagery that I associate with it.
The song is from the 1978 Jeff Wayne adaptation of War of the Worlds & is about the main character reminiscing about how he & his wife used to kick through the autumn leafs in a passed time.
Hi All 👋 My entry for this week’s challenge, set by Ritva.
This is an interesting challenge; I’ve never really dabbled in the world of abstract, so here we go.
My first group could fit in a “what is it?” category of abstract.
This first shot looks like an alien forest; it’s a macro shot of dew on moss.
Hi All 👋 My entry for this week’s challenge, set by Patti: Cityscapes.
Often I see cityscapes from ground level, amongst the maze of hustle & bustle; it’s often refreshing to get above it all for a different view.
These first shots are of Los Angeles, seen from the Griffith Observatory.
Hi All 👋 My entry for this week’s challenge, set by Leya: Circular Wonders.
It’s been a while since I’ve been able to join in with the LAPC; hopefully, I won’t go overboard (no promises).
I’m starting off with some architectural circles in Glasgow. The first is the roof of Kibble Palace, then the Templeton Building & the staircase in the Lighthouse.

Hi All 👋 My entry for this week’s challenge, set by Donna of Wind Kisses.
This chance shot I took a couple of days ago seemed a good lead-off point when I saw Donna’s subject. My wife had placed a vase of flowers next to a lamp at the top of the stairs & the composition had me reaching for my camera.
