Simple Yet Complex — Lens-Artists Challenge #202

Hi all πŸ˜ƒ My entry for this weeks challenge, set by Sofia of Photografias: Minimalism/Maximalism.

This first shot of a sheep was originally posted in my Rule Of Thirds post; one of the comments I receieved was how simple the shot was.

Here we have the focus on a single bulrush, versus a clump of them.

Reflections can be very complex — the following shot almost has too much to take in; the reflections of the buildings, decorations & people on the crowded street, & we can also see all the old singer machines in the window.

These next landscape reflections are far more simple.

I suppose this next could be considered complex & simple; we have the complex structure of a bare tree in the foreground, with a very simple background.

Flowers are very complex structures, but by getting up close we can show the simpler side of them as well. We see the complexity of the sunflower in the first shots, & the simple rain drops on the petals in the last.

Here we have the complex ice strucrure in a simple macro shot of a frozen raindrop.

…and finally, yes he’s here — Lensy. These first shots have a lot going on, both in Lensy & in the background…

…but he can take a more simple view.

  1. Lovely all, but my favourites, too, are the frozen raindrop and of course Lensy! And – Wow for the sunsets.

  2. The sunflower captures are stunning. but then you also gave us Lensy! WOW! I think these are my favorite lensy photos ever….yes ever!
