Round & Round We Go — Lens-Artists Challenge #290

·

Hi All 👋 My entry for this week’s challenge, set by Leya: Circular Wonders.

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to join in with the LAPC; hopefully, I won’t go overboard (no promises).

I’m starting off with some architectural circles in Glasgow. The first is the roof of Kibble Palace, then the Templeton Building & the staircase in the Lighthouse.

Moving swiftly on to nature’s floral circles.

Wee dew drops & raindrops beading up on webs & grass.

The intricate workings of my pocket watch is brimming with circles.

The Falkirk Wheel has some of the largest circles within its construction that I’ve come across. In the first shot, the arches are reflected in the water to form circles. I’ve managed to get Lensy lined up to match the curves of the arches in the second. The arches in the first shot are actually circles when viewed from below & support the end section of the canal (see last in gallery).

Speaking of Lensy, it wouldn’t be a post without featuring my favourite circle of glass.

Finally, the circles that keep my wife & I sight-seeing & getting all these shots.

Rounding out with some music

I saw your post a couple of days ago, and I remember liking it, and I thought I commented on it as well. I’m not sure what happened, but maybe I got distracted and closed the browser at some point without sending it.
In any case, I know you are aware that your lensball images enticed me to try my hand as well. Great post.

Excellent post, Jez, so hard to choose a favourite! The Glasgow gallery is great, I can’t believe I forgot about the Kibble 🙂
The nature ones are wonderful too. Dew drops and your watch take the lead this week. They’re different and well captured.

Terrific choices Jez – loved your banner shot and the smaller images of it that follow later, it’s spectacular! Also loved the staircases. Welcome back, we missed you (and lensy of course!)

Jez, this is an amazing collection! It’s hard to pick a favorite. I loved the Glasgow set, especially the roof. The dew drop and pocket watch macros were also amazing. Great post!

Lots to love in this one Jez. I am glad you are back. You alway bring an interesting look to our challenges. And besides…Lensy would truly feel left out for this one. I love the drops of water and the detail of the pocket watch. Bikes are such a great way to get AROUND, especially with a loved one. My favorite lensy was the orange setting sun.

I was missing you, Jez! Good to see you here, and airing Lensy is always a treat. Love the Falkirk wheel, and flowers and dew drops are sorely missing here…Thank you for posting those circular wonders! Your bicycles must of course be necessary cirkular wonders too – or we wouldn’t have got any photographic wonders from you.
