This chance shot I took a couple of days ago seemed a good lead-off point when I saw Donna’s subject. My wife had placed a vase of flowers next to a lamp at the top of the stairs & the composition had me reaching for my camera.
I edited this shot of Old Edinburgh in black & white to bring out the silhouettes of the buildings more. The original shot is fine in itself, but the black & white edit makes it more interesting & draws the eye to the skyline.
On our last few visits to the coast, we’ve seen lots of fragments, small & large. Starting off with driftwood; washed up fragments of trees & even finished wood.
